A Universidade Estatal de Nova Iorque em Buffalo abriu concurso para preencher uma vaga de docência em Antropologia Biológica. Aqui ficam os detalhes:
State University of New York at Buffalo invites applications for a full time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Biological Anthropology, starting Fall 2011, pending final budgetary approval. Responsibilities include teaching an undergraduate introduction to physical anthropology and additional courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses in their area of specialization. The standard load is two courses per semester, service to the department and University (as needed), an active research program and student advisement. Since Buffalo has a large medical school and an active Graduate Program in Evolution, Ecology and Behavior, research and teaching interests that compliment those strengths would be an advantage. Demonstrated interests in evolutionary processes and human origins as they relate to climate change, disease or bio-behavioral aspects of health will fill department needs. The Department of Anthropology at SUNY Buffalo offers an integrated program of archaeology, cultural and biological anthropology at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate should have a background in general anthropology and a strong track record of field or laboratory research, including publications. A completed Ph.D. should be in hand.
Postdoctoral experience is an advantage. Salary and benefits are competitive. SUNY at Buffalo is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Recruiter, and provides reasonable accommodation to known disabilities of applicants and employees. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. To apply, submit application through bioanthrosearch@buffalo.edu and attach a letter of application giving qualifications, interests and experience, a one page statement of current research activities and of future research plans, a current c.v., and the names and addresses of three referees by November 1, 2010. This e-mail address replaces UBJobs.Buffalo.edu which is not currently functioning. References, when requested, should be sent by email to Biological Anthropology Search Committee, bioanthrosearch@buffalo.edu.
